All I can think is, if you're merging 2 guilds, you can't be all family guild-esque, you gotta be a mother fucking asshole as a leader and take charge, and stop caring too much about all your members.

Family Guilds = Shit as a HardCore Raid Guild.

Well think about this, people who do that to their guilds (you know who i am talking about) are just idiots, because if any other guild would have leaders with half a brain they would not take them because if you do shit they pulled once who says they wont do it again to the guild they are comin to????

on the brighter note: good for old guild since all whiners and 15year olds left and left them with good way to start up something with more quality than before. slow it will be but just watch!!!!

although me and my boyfriend+best ranger ever on inno (gaeas) are two of the left behing (fatal misunderstanding), i have to agree with habi.
draconis extinctor was already dying. the last ~6 months were destroying our guild, slowly, but not ignoreable. we lost worthwhile members, fucking really good player, short time after ROK release.

i agree with our ex-guildleader... the move was the only way to rescue the top players before they would have been all leaving because of the lagg frustration. even the merge with fable was not a bad idea.

only the way this all happened was a kind of fucking piece of shit.

many ways to fast, nobody got any information except a few sentences per tell. we had to decide pro/contra moving very quickly.

me and gaeas were asked on friday evening, we wanted a little time to overthink - seems that 2 days time to deliberate about that was too long. on sunday evening we were informed that our guildleader has been planning a merge with fable. the whole issue was already decided. we were told that in the new guild was no place for us, because anyone has put out the rumor gaeas and me were planning to quit eq2 since a few weeks - a fucking great lie.

our recruits were informed through this thread that the guild they are hoping to get members will move and not take them with. they were told that they wouldn't have been token even if draconis had stayed on innovation - well after all i think it is easier to say that instead of "sorry".

a few members logged in on monday evening, expecting a normal raid, and had to see half of the guild members leaving.

til now - more than 1 week after planning, ~1 week after decision, 4 days after servermove - NO official post in our guild intern forum.

THAT is the big shit that happened.

i dont think servermove or merging two guilds is a bad idea at all. only the way all this happened. i heard from fable, that their guildmembers were not informed detailed too.

i have nothing more to say. i have been nearly 1 year raiding with draconis. gaeas has been a loyal and faithful guildmember for more than 2 years.
we both and the others that stayed back on innovation were left with a mix of emotions. we are sad, disappointed, angry... and we don't know what to do know. we're sitting in east fp at the docks and boring.

some raidguildes/-forces told us to raid with them now.
but why should we drive an old used vw golf if we know we are able to drive a porsche? sad but true.
we will never be avatar raiding again. we lost all the people we spent so much time with. we deplore that.

after all that i expected mystery to go under... but not that fast.

at least i want to say, that asca was really the best guild- and raidleader i ever had. i still have much respect.
he just wanted to rescue but destroyed two good guilds. but i know, he's a sentimental person and very sorry about that.

Imo the saddest bit is that DE don't exist anymore. You guys were doing the EU servers proud.

the lvl 80 guild still exists with 10 members (5 of them will quit in a few days for AoC) and is open for all who want to move back.
but you're right, its not the same.
