Six months after release
and Rothgar intends to "to start putting some time into looking at" lag.

Six months and gee, maybe someone kinda sorta oughta? And, oh, yeah, people have bought new hardware since EQ2 launched, so maybe they kinda should update the graphics engine?
Just lovin' it.

Re: Six months after release
The title of this post is missing the 3 years from it. Please correct it to say 3 and 1/2 years later.

Re: Six months after release
I didn't notice significant lag until the last few months. Casting spell...
[||||||||||||||||||||||||||..] stuck at this point for 2-4 seconds

Re: Six months after release
I see no lag. Then again, I see 30 seconds sometimes, sometimes 10 minutes, then a 3d driver crash.
My fault for running 8800's I know. I should be running a Radeon 6800 for the full EQ2 experience.

That won't cut it, what you need is a heavier paperweight!

The good ol' VSA-100. Delayed too long to be a good chip, thus making it a failure.
Had it been released when it was supposed, 3DFX probably would still be here.
