The Realms game looks like the end result of a corporate think tank. Mix in a monthly sucbscip with a card game and purchasable online items and target it at kids with a high volume of dispossable income = brilliant.
The agency? Something I could log in and play every day? I don't see it happening.
Personally, I do hope they're right andthe future of MMOs is console. I was originally drawn into the genre by means of EQOA, Soes first attempt at an online game. Not being much of a computer person myself I always found consules far more accessible, less expensive, with better longivity than a PC. If the Ps2 burns out, the turn around always seems faster than trying to replace/RMA a video card, decript a bizarre error message or generally figure out which piece of hardware has become obsolete in your rig.

Console are not the future of MMO, in fact there a few genres that are made for PC and will always make money when sold on this plateform and barely any money on console and vice versa.
MMO, RPG ala oblivion, Gestion Games like civilization and such, RTS and Hack n Slash. Those are the king of PC games and will always be, it is just a matter of public mixed with Keyboard/Mouse combo and the fact that those games are heavily community based (Mods, Forums, LAN etc)
In the contrary, Adventure/Action Games ala God of War, Third Person FPS ala Gears of War, GTA like, Sports Game, Race Games etc, now belong to the console market.
Most analyst fails to realize this and are wondering why Halo or Gears of Wars didn't sell millions like on Xbox, or why Oblivion on Console wasn't the huge success it was on PC. And they say : That's cause of the bad pirates that hack our games and makes it available on torrent ! They add even more stupid protection that pisses off customers and shoot themselves in the foot.
Other people are intelligent enough to understand it and are selling their games with 0 copy protection :

MMO are for PC, and will hardly know the same success on console.
