I have been owned. wah.
Normal leveling, 5 monthes is slow leveling. VG caters to no-lifers, unemployed, my guilds better than yours cause we raid at noon types.

5 months is reaching man. Unless 40-50 is CRAZY slow, a casual player in VG will reach max lvl WAY faster than that. Since the cap is still 40 atm I can only speak to that, but 25% xp an hour is pretty easy to get in the mid 30's. I'd estimate the 10-15 hr a week player will reach the 40's in 3 months, tops. My highest toon atm is 36 and I have 5 alts in the high teens, playing after work 3-4 hours a night, not playing on the weekends. I've been in Beta for..I think 4 months.

Don't believe the hype, VG is not THAT hard. Heh actually alot of people on the VG forums (before they were wiped for B5) were asking leveling to be slowed down, but it doesn't appear it will be. Right now given the massive amount of content it's very easy to outlvl quests and such, forcing people to fight things 3-4 levels below them to complete quests.

It's not EQ1-style grinding by any stretch.

The xp required to get from 40-50 is about the equivalant of 1-38.

Hmm, we'll see I guess. If that's the case then yeah, those levels are going to be pretty slow. Guess people won't be outlvling content for those 10 levels at least.

The leveling speed is going to be lowered in live, no point in making beta testers take all day to test content. Majority of people from several games are leaving for vanguard, it has alot of hype to live up to and players will wait until end game to determine how the feel. Gives the devs alot of time to build up and perfect things as players level up.

WoW is going to take two large hits as it's subscribers leave for both Vanguard & LoTR but it will steal be on top. EverQuest 2 will be 4th below the the three games (Conan could possibly make that fifth.)

I know it's not just me, but who does'nt know someone or several people who have retired from Eq2? Games Lame.

PS: I could have written that more constructivly but I just got off from work and I'm tired...to hell with english.
