Depending on how strictly things are moderated on the official Vanguard forums, I think that makes a greater need for something like these boards. The official EQOA boards were not moderated quite as much as EQ2, if I recall, but off-site message boards became popular for several servers. (
www.hodstock.com is still going, in fact, and I still check it out occasionally (yes, people are still playing EQOA). They even have a "flames" board there called "Middle School" which was generally the most popular forum (and not only for people on Hodstock, but from other EQOA servers as well).
[The site owner of hodstock.com, Kono, played (plays?) on Najena.]
