I'm worried about the concept of forsaking raids for heroic content. If that ends up actually being the case, I'll just play Onslaught, since I'm not paying a goddamn monthly fee to play with 5 people.

I hope they merge Befallen with Everfrost. I doubt that the folks on Befallen would notice the difference and I could play with some crazy people I met on the forums.

I dont think the servers would be merged again. I know this game lacks population but damn that would leave literally like 2 servers up and running. They should just merge all pvp into 1 who fucking cares about pvp anyway.

Yeah there are some server (unrest and mistmoore to name 2) that have extreme lag due to the Asian servers being ninja merged with them last year....

idk about yall, But I find a good way to measure EQ2 up is to take a look at the bazaar.

It is the only mainstream MMO that uses an 'item mall' Well if the game is so great. Why have Plat prices gone down from 3$ a plat to $1?

I mean if it was so succesful and EoF did what it was meant to do, (draw in new players as it was 70% low level content or more) why has platinum drops so drasticly? YOU KNOW Noobs like it easy, thats how it works first 10-20levels go by smothly and teach you the basics of the game and get you hooked, its true for every game everywhere. If it wern't Tetris would start on high speed.

Anyway my point being is that noobs like it easy, so a good portion of those noobs, for example maybe one out of every ten new arivals choose the bazaar because "damn I can just buy paltinum to twink myself! sweet! and you know there are plenty like that or companies like IGE wouldn't exist. anyway, point is prices have droped becasue there is no one buying it, if the game was actually growing there would be people buying it. but there Aren't.

Edit: I just had to go check, prices have even droped on the illegal sites for non-exchange server. like from 2.8 - 3.0 per plat down to 2.0 - 2.5 per plat.

Soloing in VG isnt much different than in EQ2 atm. Tons of solo stuff "outside" and group mobs in dungeons. Imo it's too easy to solo in VG atm, hopefully that will get addressed.

Not sure why you're comparing a game that has a few months of beta left with one that already in its 3rd expansion. EQ2 had no raidcontent when it launched, while for VG its planned to be implemented this beta phase.

Every game before it's released says things like "The game is going to be group based" and people bash about there not being solo content. No one can name a single game released that you can't solo in because it takes a completly retarded system to make that statement true. (FFXI Anyone?)

There was a huge discussion about raid gear in Vanguard not too long ago and how powerful it should be in comparison to people who don't raid. Fortunatly it's been stated that raid gear will be better then typical non raid gear meaning raiding is and will remain heavy in the game. (What dumb fuck thinks the original makers of EverQuest wont have raiding in there new game?)

Were talking about a game made by the developers, that made the game, that inspired the game you play today (Which isn't that good of a game.) Vanguard will out perform EverQuest2 and in it's release you'll see the server population for EverQuest2 take another plunge (Who here can say they don't know ANYONE going over to play vanguard?) In addition to those people the haters who talk mad shit about it sucking are goign to try it too, and I can honestly say anyone with an unbias opinion will go for vanguard. If you disagree, play it and come back to me with your character level later lol
