Yeah its a random number generator. Not a pick a fucking number and wait in line. Why is anyone even entitled to any loot on a loot table at all? People these days feel they are entitled to every piece of loot in a zone because they clear it, and when it start taking an extended period of time to obtain it they cry foul.

If it was something besides RNG I could probably just work some calculations and figure out how much time it'll take me to get all my gear, and thats bullshit.

Dunno, imo the RNG seems a lil fucked at times.
But that being said I don't think people would mind not seeing "their item" drop if what was dropping instead wasn't a transmute-that-pos item.

if you can take your trusty Visa card to buy enough plat then exchange this plat to buy a spot into one of the "top raid guilds" and get anything you want.........what status does it have anyway? Mythical, Fable Legendary .....it can all be bought with RL status "MONEY". It was great when people actually earned their gear...now what with one thing or another none of it matters.........except having fun.

I think this is a defining difference in a decent portion of the "hardcore" players and the casual players. I think just about everyone in Confirmed knows there is loot they are not going to get this expansion, regardless of the fact that the only Avatar we haven't killed is growth and we clear most stuff every time it is up. We even have a pretty stable roster and don't have to worry about turnover and loot leaving that would then need to be got again for someone else. The reality of it is that not everyone is going to get everything. People need to accept that.

Does this game take skill compared to Solitaire? Yes. Does this game take skill compared to fast paced FPS games? Not a chance.

Its still my theory the best eq2 players i've met were heavily into FPS at one time! IMO it just breeds a more aware and competent player. This game is like a mental vacation compared to heated fps matches. Overall games are games, /shrug. Some are good at them and some never were that good. WE all played with that friend who sucked at all the SNES games, cmon...

ps. Word is Calaglin played some RA3 and I want to throw down a game someday!
