No because the average eq2 player doesnt have the pc that runs AoC. I think warhammer will wipe out eq2 though.

AoC isn't hard to run at all. Warhammer is pretty much pvp only, so I don't see it affecting EQ2 at all.

Lucan D'Lere will not go down, simply because Kaladryn will still be playing EQ2. I've come to understand just about every aspect of the game - I'm not quitting now.

Okay, honestly, it's the crowd that keeps me playing, but I'll still be around.

I took a sneak peak of AOC the other day, its got alot of potential to be a good game. I watch my girlfriend try out a few toons the combat for the scout class was pretty kool. Tried out the highest mage dps class they had (of course :P), didnt spend alot of time with it but the recast times I did have when I leveled was really good liked that alot. Level cap is 80 which I found odd, just hope people dont max out and get bored with it to soon. What I was reading leveling is pretty easy until you hit about 40 so they are saying. Well thats all I got on it at this time.

Forgot to add one thing I thought that was really kool, you have 9 per sever guild cities that the top 9 guilds can claim. They can be taken over by other guilds to fight over the top 9 spots. Didn't get a chance to see one yet might have to level up enough to see one get ransack. lol.

I gotta say, even I've been persuaded into the AoC crowd. Its not the same feeling as logging into Norrath in EQ1 or EQ2, those feelings will never be replaced. But I feel like Funcom really did a fairly decent job.
