Default Two Ideas for EQ2

I had two ideas for EQ2 after having played quite a bit recently. I could post on the official SOE forums, but I figure there might actually be more devs reading here than there are there.

1. Sokokar Posts
I think there should be two options when clicking on a post. The first would be what we have now, no change. The second, would be as follows:
  • You can take off and fly anywhere in the zone you want. However, you can only land at another sokokar post that you have visited previously on foot (ie, 'bound') AND you cannot jump off the sokokar.
The reason for this is to allow for players to get to places more efficiently, since the routes that many of the sokokar take are designed to allow for players to jump off at various hotspots.

2. Green Aggro Solo Mobs
I propose that the following change be made to solo mobs ONLY while you are GROUPING or RAIDING. Basically, the con color would not change; however, for each person that is in the group with you (AND in the zone with you) the mob would be less aggro. For example, if you're level 80, and you're solo, then level 70 mobs are both green and AGGRO to you. If you are grouped with one other person, then level 70 mobs would be green, but *not* aggro ...and then 71+ would be aggro. Then, if you had two people grouped with you, then 72+ would be aggro and 70-71 would be green and non-aggro. And so on... (make sense?)

90% of what SOE does can be described by this statement -- at least, compared to so many other things, they can be described as practical and useful.

Hell, I would use your statement to describe the addition of PVP to this game. God only knows how many wasted man hours went into implimenting that garbage.

If SoE was able to implement any of my crazy ideas, I'ld have them cut the current eight tiers in half and create a game which only supports 4 tiers (ie lvl 40 is the new 80.) It's one of those impossible, never going to happen in a million years sort of ideas. But if possible it would help concentrate the already thinly spread population within a smaller lvl range. If nothing else I just hope they never create a ninth tier. That would, in my opinion be a terrible idea.

Tiers 1 and 2 don't count, since you can blow through them so fast and they are effectively the adventure tutorial anyway.

Tiers 3 and 4 also go by very quickly. Things start to slow down in tier 5 and this is when you can start getting ready to start the game, which really only begins in tier 6.

So basically, the game is only played in the last 3 tiers as it is. (And if you want to you can blow through the first 7 and get to tier 8 very quickly, tbh.)

i said in another post afater seeing how well WoW does it - they need to remove the trivial loot system, take off no trade from items, and remove grey mobs (all mobs are aggro, just thier aggro radius reduces with level)
