the worst part about eq2 is their unwillingness to add new content. world of warcraft has only released 1 expansion since the release of the game, yet world of warcraft releases MUCH MORE free content in 2 months than eq2 releases in a year.

this issue of stagnation is huge. and ive suffered through it in all of the expansions since i came to the game in KoS, although they did better in kos because of Fallen Dynasty and halls of seeing/lycium.

it just seems like sony doesnt care about hanging onto customers like wow does.

maybe ill give wow another try :/.

I'd give WoW a try if some of my friends played it.

For now I sit on EQ2 hoping one day they'll announce that they're going to rework the engine so the game doesn't suck so much. Would be awesome if my nice machine (which runs AOC @ 60fps on max) could run EQ2 on max without lagging.

As awesome as it is that they're working on new shitty games (that are bound to suck), they should really work on improving what they already have.

Eq2 is a big yawnfest..

Log on to official SOE forums to see whats new or whats in the works, and you'll see nothing but a few shitty discussions about some crappy bugs no one gives a shit about. And it's been like this for the last few months

I log into eq2 and stand around on the efp docks for 10 mins before feeling sick and loggin out.

Started wow last week, been playing flat out and got a lvl 32 undead rogue, crap that drops off mobs can be used to craft nice stuff. the crafted stuff is comparable with dropped loot. Everything just make sense, the character gfx might be average, but the lands are bloody huge with lots of points of interest and no zoning.

After paying $19 for the original WoW and logging in, the newbie areas were packed full of people and the game just feels alive.. money well spent imo, and ive hardly seen any group zones.

I'm not blowing WoW's horn by any means, just gimme something new and fresh ffs
