Yup checked it out.

This is the equivalent of SOE getting on its knees and begging for players to come back.

Too little? too late?

I can't believe they even bother with rewards etc for EQ1, how many people are really still playing it and seriously HOW FUCKING MANY do you intend to attract back to EQ1, good luck with that one I would hate to be the poor sucker in charge of this promotion at SOE. I think part of the real EQ2 had such a hard time is they had to support and do content / fixes for both. EQ should have been taking out back and shot before the launch of EQ2, would have been a better game way better.

August

Veksar Raid Zone – Game Update #48

Then the detailed view shows:

Veksar Group Zone Introduced - Game Update #48
It’s up to players to investigate what remains of Veksar and how the once mighty city ties in with a changed Norrath... and the future of all who live there. A playable testament to the evolution of EverQuest.

Recruitment Rewards – Earn up to twenty (20) months of free gameplay at the end of your current subscription by recruiting friends who become EQII subscribers.

These are aways bullshit, this is the same as saying.

"If you do the work for us we will give you nothing tangible."

How about they pay us $15 a month to play over the summer, then MAYBE i would consider it.

Wow, way to get my hopes up and then be destroyed. Fucking hell, proof of SOE's great QA team.

The good thing about all this is that on the site it lists when guild halls and all that stuff will go live.

Like the murder mystery event! oooh!

There are a lot of naysayers about this, but I think it is amazing. SOE has always been against advertising and this may be exactly what the game needs. Four live events and everything. If they put as much effort into the expansion as they have to building it up, it will be simply amazing. Two events about the shadow invasion, one about a murder mystery (I wonder who dies?) and another titled 'Evolution of Everquest event'. I wonder what that last one is about? I am really excited about this summer and all of the live events going on.

You say too little too late, but I don't think so. AoC got a lot of bad feedback and I heard a lot of people didn't get what they were expecting. If SOE plays their cards right, they may get a huge spike in playerbase.

From what I understand, you get nothing but a chance to gain free game time by recruiting players -- If your account is currently active. If you are a canceled account you get a bunch of "cool" shit.

Sounds pretty homosexual to me.
