Default Disappearing Shadows

I just built a new rig that can run on extreme quality, but it's useless because all shadowing vanishes after a few minutes every time I log in. I've tried fiddling with the settings in EQ2 and my comp to the best of my knowledge (including reinstalling EQ2) and nothing helps. Anyone else have this problem?

abit ip35 pro
intel e8400
4gb ddr2 800
msi nx8800gt
xp home 32 bit

Appreciate any help, thanks.

PS - I had this problem on my old comp too but I figured it was just because it was old and slow. Old comp had an nVidia chipset too lolz.

Yeah, I have the problem too sometimes. I notice that it always happens to me in Qeynos when the processor is working harder than normal. When I am out adventuring, I don't have any problems. It doesn't happen to me every time I log, but it is about once a week (logging everyday). I don't think that they are going to fix it anytime soon though, not enough players have rigs big enough to turn on shadows to begin with. They are going to focus on the skeletal revamp, guild halls, etc. I really wish they took the time to do this though. Even if they did a quick fix, like resetting the buffer when you zone or giving us a command prompt to do it, that would be fine for me.
