SOE Desperate?

Just noticed that I've got RoK and 60 days of game time on all my accounts, has SOE done that for everyone trying desperately to keep some customers?

Huh, and I also have 54 days for EQ. Bastards didn't give me any more EQOA time though.

I have to say that when I first read this I thought you were on crack.

But I found the same thing on my accounts, AND the EQ1 account has a 54 day sub on it.

These are all canceled accounts, all four of them with both games.

I noticed that there was no freebie with Vanguard though, not that I would go back to that for anything short of all the tea in China.

yup.. I have 54 days left to an account that should have been done last week sometime...

The thing is even with AoC down for updates I'd rather be on these forums than actually playing EQ2....

they dont run pomotions for vanguard, they want it to die since the subs dont even cover the electricity cost of the servers

I got the 60 days as well in eq2 for one of my accounts, forgetting to pay for it was worth it lol.

What really gets me is that they do this and don't tell their customers, I mean what's the point if it isn't to bring back customers? How will they even know if they don't tell them? I would never have known if not for this post because I canceled the accounts and have no reason to check on them.

I wonder if this has anything to do with server merges, do they need accounts active to move them?

I still don't see the point in doing this and not telling anyone, but then again it is SOE and this would be their SOP.

My step-brother apparently got RoK expansion for free... He used one of my old accounts that I haven't activated for about a year now and he all of a sudden had the xpac lol... Looks like someone fucked something up!

Probably an effort to create healthy subscriber numbers. Our accounts are active, therefore our collective /ragequitting never happened!
