Hit greed and if you don't win... buy it... like the rest of the world.

Greed, glorious greed, it manifests itself in so many ways!

Oh the irony...

But you're famous, so it obviously doesn't matter.

Having lotto on, instead of this need/greed bullshit, would have prevented this whole situation from happening tbh.

I fail to see how people like a system where anyone can ninja loot anything at anytime.

The roll should obviously have been, in this case, GREED!

I have to say though I really dislike the NBG system anyway, I much prefer using a Need/Sell Split system, where any items which are not needed are sold by one person (broker or merch) and the proceeds from the sales is then split between all people who were in the group. Far more fair than one person getting uber plats from that special master drop imho. Of course you do have to trust the person doing the sell split but it certainly works with people who group together regularly, in the same guild or not.

Point in fact ....... a couple of days ago a group of my guildmates did COA and Vaults, they had Praetors Guard and a couple of nice masters drop in the two instances which no one needed. In Vaults, the Praeters Guard loot Rights were sold to highest bidder and the two masters were then sold on the broker. Now, you guys know how much PG and nice masters go for on your own servers so do the math, one person could have been up a few hundred plat, however 6 people have now been able to collect some plat to put towards their own masters, adornments etc. It's fair, it works, it rocks!

I've never liked the NBG thing, for just this reason....to easy for someone to just ninja the stupid thing.

We actually had this happen, twice, in groups I was in by the same person. His argument was, I am so used to hitting the button, didn't notice. Kind of a load of crap, since he wasn't hitting need on the other misc crap that dropped.

I made him cough up the master, and I sold it on the broker. Then I mailed everyone in the group their share.

I would've have suggested the same thing happen here. There were 6 people in the group, and apparently, 5 of the same guild. Figure out a reasonable price you would try to sell it for on the broker, (50p, 80p, 100pp, whatever) divide that by 6, and send that to the pickup dude.

This can still happen...(presuming you remember the 6th dude). Just mail him whatever you think it fair, and get the 5 guildmates to contribute. Than all is good.

If your group is not 100% guildmates, rolling shoule be set to Lotto only, not NBG.
