I was hoping somebody with a knowledge of mechanics and the RNG might be able to answer a question for me.

If I am after a lvl 52 and lvl 62 master, would I be better off killing named 50-55 and 60-65, or will a named drop any master of that tier? So if I killed a lvl 64 named in Sanctum of the Scaleborn, does it have access to the master table for the full tier 7 or just up to it's max level?

If I remember right, then a lot depends in which expansion pack zone you are.
For example DoF was capped at 60, so none of the monsters in there will ever drop a lvl 61+ master. So you can go and kill the 61+ names in PP and hope for your lvl 52 master.

While on the other hand killing lvl 65 mobs in KoS ToS will likely drop anything of 61+! I have never seen a lvl 50-59 master drop in SoS for me.

I would usually say, that you hunt zone for certain masters and not mobs in a certain lvl range.

Enraging Demeanor and Tunare's Watch for lvl 52, and Impetus for 62.
I've looked both up on LootDB but it's kinda vague, doesn't give many options of where they drop. So I've been jumping in any t6 and t7 instance/dungeon groups I see...
