I suppose this is in response to my repeated "masters are fabled and should be treated as such" comments. And no, I don't feel that way about AA's.
I will stick by the M1 books = raid mob drops, though. It's much the same as my feelings about solo questlines providing legendary gear. It just skews progression. The "next level" of content becomes too easy because people are overgeared for their playstyle. It's about establishing a baseline, and that applies to your inventory window AND your spellbook.
Now, with that said and going back to AA's, a raid dropped item with 1 consumable charge of an effect that permanently allowed your character to gain an extra few AA's would be fine. I.e. raise the limit to 142 or whatever. Rare drops off of the final nameds in certain tough raid zones. Multiple re-use (if you have the DKP to spend on multiple copies of it =p).
There's just not enough developer consideration towards RvR in this game at the moment. They try to appeal to the lowest common denominator to sell subscriptions, but that erases much of the motivation for people to try to organize themselves and excel (i.e progress through raid content..)
