Am I the only one that even remotely enjoys this game anymore?

I'm just curious. I dislike SOE as much as the rest of you do, but jeez, I still generally have fun while playing this game.

Anyone else feel the same way, feeling like the only one that remotely enjoys EQ2 still? :P It's not the greatest, I'd at least give it a 7/10 though.

It's one of the best MMOs out there though...if thats saying anything

I'm waiting for Guild Wars 2, if that goes sour then I lose all faith in gaming and go out and get a job. For now, EQ2 is my lulzcow

I enjoy raiding. The rest of the content got old for me about 2 months after the expansion was released.

i still enjoy it, dislike a lot of stuff SOE has done/will do, but overall i enjoy the game largely in part to the people i play with.

Pre-RoK (minus DoF) I've loved this game since launch and still do. It gets frustrating though when for every good update you get 2 or three that are just one big WTF?! I also have issues with the business ethics of SOE having been burned by EQ1( GoD), SWG(NGE) and now EQ2. Such issues destroy any form of brand/development loyalty and force me to remember that I'm only paying for a service as opposed to an experience. It counts for a lot when every time you log in you realize you're paying for the company to continue to be shit;it's like staying in a bad relationship because the sex is awesome.

Having come back for the free time, I've decided to give SOE the same chance on TSO as I did with OoW for EQ1; I just can't see going 2 years without touching my main because all current/level appropriate content for him sucks.

the problem with wow and eq2 and even new games like AoC is their incredible lack of depth.

you have fun getting to 70 or 80 or whatever the cap is, then its all about getting the best gear possible. raiding is the only thing that has kept me playing eq2 for so long. rok was fun without raiding for about a month, the leveling up and the exploration factor ran out quickly though, and all you are left with really is completing the same raid content you've already killed 100 times til you get all the gear you need to be the ultimate badass.

i will always believe that eq1 did the best job of grabbing your attention and keeping it. in its prime, even the non-raider had enough things to do to last them til the next expansion (which came out every 6 months instead of 12).

alas, the old days are gone and today, the real profit isnt so much in holding onto 0ld subscribers as it is finding new ones, who pay the same 15 doller a month subscription as the grumpy, bored, mega-raider.

i honestly do not enjoy the game anymore, The raids are pretty much shit, the problem is they dont make instance content that is either a challenge or fun. the truth is if you have a remote idea of how to play your toon there is nothing out there but raiding. the rest of it is too easy. hence the game is boring,

RoK was a quantum leap over previous expansion packs, but they need more content. 7 more months until the next expansion? Who could ever stay interested that long?
