Why would FC have a fix for your internet dropping? The Steam server list and a few torrent programs crash my router due to it attempting to open more connections at once that it can handle. I don't expect Valve to provide a fix for the server list, it's the fault of my shitty router.

There's no reason anything a game could do should cause your internet to literally drop. Especially since restarting your modem fixes it. Have you tried getting newer firmware/reverting to an older version? And if that fails, a new modem.

Time to walk away from RPGs (MMO or otherwise).
Actually, there was Guild Wars. And that was a pretty straightforward system. Mind you it's not your typical MMORPG (it's really more of a PvP game), but that's exactly what's being looked for, something different.

FC seems to not want to take my credit card, even though ive updated it numerous times. Oh well game was kinda fun but played too much like WoW, which i extremely hated and couldnt get passed lvl 14. Only made it to lvl 26 on AoC. I can play it casually but nothing too extreme

That and something like only 1 out of every 10 characters created should have even had the chance of becoming a jedi.
Yea, they did that with the village...

And in my honest opinion, Jedi should have never been introduced to the mass public.

I think a better system would've been to unlock Jedi through PvP points or someitch, with every PvP death points get deducted, and with every kill points get added. Jedi was mainly for PvPing anyway...

I heard that Jedi were basically godmode at the start, which doesn't sound very PvP-friendly.

I heard that Jedi weren't even in-game at start and took over 6 months to launch, and when they did get put in they were hardcore(diablo style, 1 death and you're out) as well, so of course they were "god-mode." How else do you make peoeple play them even with the fact that they're only available with 1 death until they have to restart?

The way to get them was dumb, the fact that they weren't even enabled was also dumb. It was a fun game that's for sure.

Mythic's main problem is not with the core game but with there expansions. They just cannot release any expansion without going over the top in some kind of way to get it to sell. They would release some very obviously opd classes with expansions that they would then turn around and nerf to uselessness a few months later. That just is not good for any kind of game as it frustrates those that tried that new class.
If mythic has learned there lessons I see this game being very good indeed but thats the problem if they havent the game will turn to garbage after a couple of expansions.
Best itemization in any game imho is still Diablo 2.
3 thing that I absolutely love:

1- You don't know what you are getting until you id the item
2- All fable item have random stat, meaning you can always get an upgrade no matter how many times you run the same zone.
3- The Rune, combination and the magic box transmuting.

If only SOE would copy these 3 itemization ideas.

EQ2 tried with their random loot generator. I don't know if I'm an advocate of Great Axe of the Eagle and Longsword of the Boar but it did make for deep loot tables.

But imagine if all the loot from raid zones had random stats (maybe within a certain range) and effects/procs. Obviously something stupidly amazing would be very rare, but it would put some purpose into running those instances.

Perfect World does this. The loot tables are much much smaller, but all loot has random stats. Sometimes you get something shite.. Sometimes you get something really good.

The game world FORCES you to take certain paths, and blocks any idea of an "open" outdoor zone. Some people find the large outdoor zones in EQ2 annoying, but I, for one, find it nice to have some where to run around where i'm not running into mountains every two seconds.

Another thing, there are a huge rash of quests on the newbie island and for your twenties, but get into the 30's and 40's and you're just finishing up the level 20's quests. Then what? Grind? That more than anything put me off of the game.

Either A) have enough quests to level yourself up (The EQ2/LotRO route) or B) make us grind EVERYTHING (Pre-NGE SWG/EQ1). Doing A) for the first part of the game then switching to B seems retarded to me.
I felt exactly the same way, it slowly but surely turned into a complete lack of wanting to log in, I have more fun jumping around EFP tbh
