Actually I did read all of the blog you linked I was actually looking into investing in some gaming companies when the tax money came back and started reading about what the "future of gaming" was going to be all about before dipping into any of it. Because of the nature of the topic every article about RMT will be emotion driven, except the third party run-downs of RMT debates as seen here.

That site points to a few different articles and blogs about RMT and it's cons and pros, yes amazingly I read both sides...shocker I know.

This site offers the anti view with a few links below to more RMT related reads. Mostly WoW-centric but good reads whilst being bored at work.

You're basically angry and posting because of an opinion I made on a public forum, where I am against the buying of already built up toons and moving them from their controlled server to a non exchange controlled server. Isn't there a contract the buyer agrees to upon purchasing said toons that states they are not allowed to be transfered to a non-exchange server because of the nature they were acquired? Is this another "don't let the man hold you down" crusade?
RMT doesn't bother me as long as they stay on their side of the tracks LOL.

While this was an interesting read. (the one you edited in if you dont feel like clicking it) It is not a logical argument as to why RMT should not be allowed. It is however some very useful suggestions for eleminating it.

I like winning and being the best at what I do as much as the next guy. I worded that wrong, and I apologize.
My point was, some people are delusional enough to go around thinking "the only reason bob beat me is because he is a twink and bought all his gear." As well, being irrationally being angry because someone bought a toon. It's ridiculous.

It's Fact that many people in our society look to blame others for their own failures. People in MMO's are no different. What I find really amusing is that people make a big deal about RMT and toon buying in EQ2, yet time and time again people preach its the player's skill that makes the difference, not their gear.

So if its skill that makes players good, and a skilled player on a weak toon can beat a unskilled player on a decked out toon, why even care that the unskilled player bought a toon?
You can't buy skill, so what really maters is safe.

Every server in this game has RMT going through it. The only difference is the people on the Bazaar do it "legally" through the Exchange/Livegamer while the other servers are using ********. So which is filthier?
