If done right, I could see it replacing vent or TS. I Would love to have this for pugs and I would be totally fine if my guild gave up vent for an in-game system that allows more moderation and control without having to throw the game into a window.

I see Ventrilo as more than sufficient for the players needs and likely more configurable and higher quality than this service. I have mixed feelings about it.

I can see it being a boon to the casual player who can opt into it for PUG's for instances or casual grouping for questing, but outside of that I do not trust a game design firm to properly implement large scale high quality VOIP chat. If there is a zonewide/worldwide ooc/shout type channel for this service, I can see most people keeping that turned off.

The demographics are just too skewed.... while 80% of the people in the zone may be mature individuals, it only takes a handful of twats...

They aren't going to have a world chat, what a nightmare that would be. And I don't think that they are going to moderate the voice chats anyhow; they aren't going to record and save conversations and they don't have the manpower to live monitor.
