I don't see anything wrong with it, but my personal preference is not to use these types of programs. I don't know, it kind of takes something away from the game... but, I won't hold it against anyone that utilizes modification programs.

It only takes away if you consider curing fun.

It doesn't look anything close to flawless or particularly reliable in all situations (though I'm sure it could work for your everyday encounters). It seems more like one of those "I wonder if I can do this..." type of projects:

The purpose of this UI mod is to automate priest curing. Essentially it was a proof of concept that EQ2's UI system could be scripted to accomplish semi-complicated tasks. Everyone says that the EQ2 UI cannot do anything remotely like WoW after all. So here I am again trying to expand what is thought to be possible in the EQ2 UI.

Wonder how long it takes SoE to fix the UI interface to stop this

OR, you just don't like repetitive mundane tasks that require no thought. Playing wack-a-mole with ProfitUI is hardly a sign of skill, let's be real here.

it's cheating, either way you look at it. i will never use any botting programs, and don't care if anyone does or does not. but those who do imo are weak players.

Go define morality on something that is IRL.

It's not rocket science.

1) Makes the game easier. (+)
2) Makes the game more enjoyable for a healer. (+)
3) It doesn't break the game. (+)

= win

If I had a program on Wayoff that would allow me to parse 30k ZW all-day I would

a) Claim to be the best
b) Earn DKP while mowing my yard
c) Collect loot

To the OP: Running around petitioning stuff/ppl sucks. Man up and try to contact the creator instead of whining and throwing yourself into SOE's loving arms fcs. Especially if the creator has done so much for the community with his ACT parser.

Is that mod an exploit? No, of course not. And nobody is responsible for anything by merely creating a mod. Following the grand logic of the US industry: The companies who produce guns are not to blame if their products are put to use.

And what do you expect anyways? That SOE bans him from the game? They most likely can't stop his mod from working without breaking tons of shit anyway. If the mechanics of the game allow it, and it's an exploit, it's SOE's turn to prevent it from working. If they shrug their shoulders, mod away if you are so inclined./shrug

Wtf communist? Do you even know what the word means? It makes no sense whatsoever in this context.
