Character Transfer Service

Seriously, this thing is up and down more times than an Elevator in a busy shopping mall. Having been down for a period of about three weeks before Christmas I am now getting the "generic fail" error each time i try to use it and it seems a number of other people are too.

Live Chat produces Zippo, and I'm sure most of SOE has taken a month holiday for xmas.

So has anyone had any luck with the transfer service since the 26th December, or do I have some justification for being a whiney bitch?

Not exactly.

Now try logging into your Station Account BEFORE you hit the character transfer service button, and it will work perfectly.

Your problem is that you aren't logged in, and are getting a webserver (Apache) error message because of that.

Yes, they could do a better job and fix that to at least say "log in first" or whatever to eliminate the confusion.

And to top it off, it looks like SOE are going to charge me 4 times for the attempted transfers even though the e-mails confirmed they have billed me nothing.

LFG I think you misunderstand me (I think). I am perfectly able to access and go through the actual character service website service. The problem occurs when they "attempt" to move my toon.

That is the email i get everytime I complete an attempted character transfer.

Unless you mean I actually have to log in for there not to be an error (which doesn't make sense).

yeah when i moved zandus/pantz to blackburrow it was a clusterfuck, 1 phone rep, 1 cs rep, 1 gm, 2 renamings, and 4 hours later i landed... i still think it needs to be free for 1 day for all this constant bs hehe... ok im just being selfish i miss my alchemist and carpenter, sigh.
