They're going to be stupid anyway. Every guild is going to have one and they will all be the same.

I was hoping since they started adding the crafting tables, additional brokers, and bells around each city that they finally realized that people want to feel like their characters are actually in a living world, not something populated solely by ammo and bread merchants and low level quest givers.

I don't think SOE ever really got that concept with this game.

A living world that would mean, tonnes more NPCs, they would all be set up with homes and families and would have tasks to do every day. walking through zones to reach different parts of the city for their own shopping, work or just meeting friends in the local taverns. Fields growing crops, being harvested and resown outside the city walls. Fishermen coming in with their fishing boats to sell the catch of the day. The dry dock in QH actually being used to build ships, that get's put into the water when they are done. NPCs ageing, dying being replaced by new generations? Now all this would require enourmous amounts of computing power for I guess what SOE believed would have been not enough gain in immersion...

I don't know an exact term for what you tried to do just there, but Poison Pill seems closest.

$10 says it's just a 6 room house when you zone in.

Looks like folks have given up already.

The impression I got is it can be up to 40 rooms, and guild level has a major determination on how many of those rooms you get to use.

Expectations are either so high they will never be met or so low, people won't even give them a chance.

I will just say one thing.

With as many fixes and improvements that have been made in the game, from the simple ones like not having to recast pets when zoning, to more complicated ones like not having to login your alts to keep things up on the broker, do you really think guild halls would have "worked right" and satisfied people if introduced 2 years ago?

I was hoping to get some utilization out of the floating citadel in FP and the castle in Antonica. Like maybe for guilds that have killed all the avatars or something so they can be uber special etc ...

No extra exclusive content for 1% of the players. Jut doesn't pay off.
