I'm talking someone going on about the ganja they're smoking, how much they paid, and the pretty colors they are seeing, then someone starts chiming in about even more hard core drugs...

I'm talking someone describing sex in vivid detail - nothing softcore about it. Makes Penthouse Letters look mild.

I'm talking about a basic lack of respect for other people. If you can't say it in the grocery store, keep it out of public channels.

uhh i dont know where you live but where i live no-one cares about drug usage, so why should i stop talkin bout shootin up heroin?

Splitpaw's main trader/say what the hell you want channel is very sedate, there's usually some form of bickering most days, but it's all handbags and playground level mostly.

I think I remember two massive arguments, one where Lipi ripped Unity off and the other was between Salgor and Chloestar, and got so repetitive I left the channel, despite being involved in an auction at the time (I just asked the guy to /tell me if I got outbid).

Sounds like SP is the kiddy yard compared to Nek

But they aren't doing it IN the grocery store. Or shouting about it at the top of thier lungs. Well, at least 99.5% of them aren't. And the 0.5% isn't for long.

Befallen's is generally tame, minus the 60-69 channel. That one can get a little rowdy with flamewars and whatnot. Usually over raids and guilds and other crap.

Nagafen's is filled with 4chan, ytmnd, people that quote random things, trolls, racists, misogynists... ah whatever, I just laugh at it all.

I take pride in being on Nek and having the server with the most fucked up reputation ever. Yep, Nek is totally insane. I fit in great. I think the reason half the people do crazy shit is to see if SOE really is paying attention. If SOE isn't gonna give a shit about bots then why should they care about language? It was kinda weird going to the Vanguard beta and having a GM say something to people when they started very slighty debating.

On a side note, we had a kid in our guild like that mp3. It was funny as hell until he did that shit on a raid.

p.s. I swear all the time out of habit. I try to keep it out of the public channels most of the time. If you wanna know how bad my language can get, listen to me on vent when I play Planetside.

Those that know me, know that I can get carried away with adult language and subject matter in game, particularly if I've had a few drinks in me. But I've always saved it for private channels, guild (our guild is 18+), and group chats. I feel taking that places such as open channels would be completely inappropriate.

I haven't seen a huge amount of it on the Kithicor open channels, but then I don't really pay attention to them all that much.

When Maeca got banned from Antonia Bayle, he restarted his plat pharming operation on Kithicor. If you insult him enough in public channels, he will respond with interesting lines.
