if im rememberin correctly, defilers have a bigger group only hp buff. & bolster can be used raid-wide, so mystics can bolster the mt from out of group

Bolster can be cast cross raid. Defilers add much more hp in their buffs.

Seriously though, they buff for more HP, and have a single target tank buff that procs a debuff on the mob - see \aITEM -678348302 -614928831:Tendrils of Horror (Master I)\/a . Assuming two equally geared shaman, the defiler is pretty much always the better choice for the MT group.

not sure to be honest, everyone that runs the website either plays EVE or isn't activly playing anything. we usually keep in touch through IRC, which is hosted with our website. whole server is down, so... in short don't know anything. usually isn't down long, this is now the 3rd DoS attack in about 6 months.

knew i'd get that response, but couldn't resist... however my answer was correct. bolster is a mystics 65 AT, defile is a defilers 65 at. defile however is just a AE Dot that does more damage the lwoer a mobs HP.

there was a lot of bitching about it early KoS. which iirc lead to bolster being made raid castable, rather than just group.

aye, raids that go with a mystic in MT group are either playing favourites, or they trust the guy behind the mystic to do a better job than the one behind the defiler.
