in the past i have shamelessly reported people who's names are copied from other games, books, movies, etc. or just plain offensive (pinktaco, anyone?) you agree to the naming policy when you name your first character. i think you still get that text box that lets you read it and then you have the "accept" button. get over it.

sometimes, people go too far. bish? nothing wrong with bish. unless all the gms and players have speech problems and don't know what the word "bitch" sounds like.

in all honesty, i found reporting people not worth the time, and i haven't even reached for the /petition in a solid 6 months.

I have never /petitioned anyone. I really don't care. The day I get "immersed" in eq2, let alone have that immersion broken by a name, I will dive head first into the nearest wall and knock some sense back into myself. Seriously, who gives a shit?

Personnely I could care less, I sometimes think people are just too sensitive now days but thats me. I guess after deploying to Indonisa back in 99 with UN forces cause one section of the people were comitting genocide due to another religious belif's, being spit on in China/Korea cause I'm an American and seeing certain things in the middle east. I'm just numb inside to a extent after seeing the things I have and don't really give a shit about the little things since there are way more important things to worry about.

How about you PLAY the game instead of being a self righteous prick? I INVITE people to make funny names. It's one of those random things that makes me laugh. I have a screen shot collection of people's toon or pet names that have gotten me to LOL. But hey, I'm not the one with the huge fucking stick up my ass so /shrug.

I think there's a lot of names that you can let slide. Hell, I see garbage that makes me wanna smak people all the time, but it never drives me to report them. It's when the names become pretty god damn offensive that I think repoting is needed. Some of us have kids playing this game and I'll be damned if you think I'm gonna let a name like "kiss andlickmyballs" slide. What kind of fucktard wants to name his character "Suckmy Fuqingcock" or " Ifuqed Yurmom" anyway? That's stupid and fucking lame in my opinion and it deserves to be reported and changed. You wanna have a goofy name like a ranger I saw after the ranger changes had "Ilost Mydps". It was a new character, but funny name. Being offensive for offenses sake is stupid.

I agree completely and there is a line. A conjurers petnamed "Itaketheabuse" is funny. In fact the necro in our guild has named her pet "Iblameradar" which is damn funny. But if you are so childish you have to name your character "Boobie McTitties" I have to report your name for inappropriateness, because there ISN'T a category for reporting people too stupid to live.
