Default Re: Questions for the Community Summit

I have a simple question if you have time to ever bring it up.

Pretaining to LFG's post maybee that guy Cusahorn already is invited and will take care of the LORE info, but my question is:

Question: Will major parts of eq2s general LORE storyline ever be played out during a live event, that is a GM event, and not just 3 weeks of a holiday items or something I mean like a eq1 style live event. Think KITHICOR Forrest style.

Thanks for the place to ask questions.

I agree about live events. There should be more of them. EQ1 was awesome for this and I really miss that aspect of the game when I switched over.

My questions are strictly class related, however, and I don't think everyone wants me clogging up this thread with self-serving questions about my main class.

Seems I can't edit my thread. Sorry LFG for clogging your thread with another reply.

1. Many of the instance raiding zones are bugged (example: Labs). Several guilds have complained that dying at specific mobs (First encounter with Alzid, for one, the Uustalastus Xiterrax for another) will cause people to hang in the loading screen. Many have reported this bug over and over again. When are the developers going to take a look at these zones, as far as bugs go? It makes it difficult for an up and coming raiding guild to progress through content if the content itself is bugged.

2. Concerning Plat Sellers. I'm sure that this topic will be a hot one to bring up. There are hundreds of plat selling websites out on the internet. Many of them advertise selling beyond the Exchange Servers. Is there a reason why SoE hasn't gone after these sites in particular?

3. The Warden Class. Most of these questions are self serving, as my main class is a Warden, yet hundreds of Wardens like myself have been asking them over and over again with little to no response.

- Several of our spell lines have been asked to be looked at.

Greater Regrowth doesn't seem to have a Sage Adept III recepie for it.

Nature's Respite hardly ever triggers and spending the AA points into something that is a crap shoot seems counterproductive.

Our Protecting Grove graphic needs to be changed. Several people who play in 3rd person, have complained that it blocks their view making it difficult to play.

Tunare's Watch - the mobs are hitting harder than what the spell can heal for, making it a redundant spell.

- Nature's Walk on PvE needs to be looked at. It's bugged on the PvE servers. If this ability isn't for PvE Wardens, please give us something else and take it out of our AA Line.

- +Heal Adornments not giving their full effect.

- Our Cure Line Nerf. Why was it reduced to a 3 hit mini buff? It is almost redunant on raids, now.

4. What are you going to do to fix the mitigation issue?

5. Class hats? Are we going to see the rest of them finished soon?

Probably off topic and therfore inapporpriate for inclusion, but Im going to ask it anyway

Why did it take so long to include T6 carpenter rare recipes? Does this carry any reflection of the continuing importance of the tradeskilling community as you see the game developing further?

I doubt we're gonna get an answer to that one. I do know that part of the issue with those and writs was that the Tradeskill database was, more or less, a total mess. Theoreticly the TS revamp cleaned that up and will make it easier for stuff to get done in a timely manner from here on out. The secondary Tradeskills came in pretty cleanly (ie: minimal bugs), so that bodes well.

I would like to second Deson's questions regarding character slots and crafting.

I would also like to make a suggestion pertaining to level chat channels.

EX. When on a lower level alt, I would like the ability to see level 60-69 chat in case a group for a mob I need on my main is being formed, someone needs a T7 tailor, etc. I don't want the ability to chat in higher level channels, just a toggle to view them implemented into the game.

Thank you for this opportunity !!

Ask what Kyros asked about the brigand class...his way of putting it was far more polite than anything I could come up with.

Made me think of some questions for the Summit.

Why are fabled spells more easily attainable than fabled gear?
AND/OR
Why don't fabled spells only drop off of epic targets?

Now I've observed that for the most part the level of the master is close to if not spot on the level of the mob killed to drop it. So they'd have to change it so that a Tier x raid zone has a % chance of dropping any level master in that tier. I'd be glad to see some of the legendary trash loots replaced with fabled spells. Then it would also likely require adding rare TSing drops and more legendary to heroic content.

I fully agree with Illuminator on this issue. You'd a) hurt plat farmers, b) add some progression. The cons are that this is a hard fix to make retroactively a lot of people already have lots of master spells they shouldn't have so easily obtained IMO and the non-raiding community would be outraged.

Got another crafting one- Why are quest rewards being designated handcrafted/mastercrafted? Those designations are supposed to be there to distinguish crafted goods in the world, what changed? Wouldn't it be better to label the items uncommon, treasured or legendary?

I agree that the benefit from a Master I spell outweighs pretty much any single piece of raid gear that you can get in the game. Due to the fact that everyone and their mother already have 90% of their T7 master I spells I'd like to ask if SOE would consider implementing Master II spells dropping on raids only, and only from Named Epics on raids. You could have these drop on epic x2 so that more casual players could still have a chance to obtain them, but they don't need to be dropping on heroic content that can easily be soloed, and all epics that drop Master II's would need to have a 5-7day respawn time whether they be instanced or contested. This could definitely help with making things a little more "progressive".
