Huh? Is WHAT system still dead? Imbues weren't dead, they decided in Beta not to remove them.

After much disscution in the office we're going to be putting imbues back in. They will function as they always have. Imbued items won't be adornable though. As well we probably won't be adding in any new imbue recipes in the future. Ben

That read to me as a death sentence to imbues. If that idea has been reversed, then it should mean that it's valid to ask for things like imbuable devout/melodic and other imbue corrections and expansions.

Ah, gotcha!

BTW, I guess it's safe to say that I'm the Flames Summit attendee. I leave at Oh Shit It's Early Thursday morning.

I still have to compile this list of questions into something comprehensible, but I'm taking them and I'll do my level best to get us answers, is answers are available.

Can you ask which dev is in control of itemization?
I really want a name to go with my future flames on these forums rather than "the itemization devs".

With the abandonment of the game by several high end raid guilds (Vagabonds, FOH and EL are the most high profile in my limited knowledge) and many, many more in bad shape roster-wise due to poor implementation on several levels, are there any plans in hand to either create original and challenging raid content, or improve raid drop itemisation? I'm not in any way shape or form a 'hardcore' raider, but it's a bad sign for the game's future that entire guilds are just departing because the high end raid game isn't worth their time anymore.

ETA: Bleh, I've just seen that Calthine left Thursday morning for the summit, I hope she checks in before things get moving

I'm back. I walked in the door 5 minutes ago, lol.

I do have some answers and information, but my notes are a mess and I have about 15 hours of audio on my DVR to wade through, 'cause I'll be darned if I'm gonna try to paraphrase form memory. Especially since a lot of the questions asked here are not from my area of expertise. The very last thing I want to do is give bad information because I mis-remembered something.

What I will say now is that this was not a Development Summit like I hear there have been in the past. It was an "SOE Community Summit", and they brought in players from all of SOE's MMORPG's. While fansites were well represented, they also invited players, including folks who were definatley not fanbois. We did get to meet Development Team people at the social events, and they were good about listening to our concernes and quesitons.

I started to type a lot more, but I'm really travel-fatigued right now and the kids apparently really missed me, so let me get settleed back in and I'll get back to y'all.
