Yeah, I voted yes. I took "for a fee" meaning in game money, sort of like the "makeover" though. I /petitoned SoE for gender discrimination a few times when titles started being guild rewards you could buy for status. I always wanted Madam for my Human male Troubador.

I would pay 100 bucks, right now, if I could change my dirge into a ratonga. So I vote yes, lol. Even though this is about sex, not race; I'm sure if they allowed sex changes they'd eventually allow race changes too.

It is my opinion though, that they should allow sex changes in game.

I think they should charge $$ for it also, same as transfers. Why? Because all my toons are male, I only play male toons, and therefore, I don't need the service. So if EQ2 diverts tech resources to make this happen, that will obviously take away from another issue that I'm probably more interested in seeing fixed.

We live in an economic world, and it's foolish to assume this sort of thing can or should be done for free, IMO. If someone wants this service, they should pay for it, that will not only fund the costs of making this service possible, but would hopefully provide SoE with additional funds for other EQ2 development.

There are different issues between gender and race changes. Nothing in game would need to change or be adjusted if your toon went from male to female.

If your toon went from Iksar to wood elf, there would be consequences involving both citizenship and racial skills. That seems way more complicated to me.

But it would own if someone could change race for a fee also, I'd support that as well, if it could even be done.

I'm interested to understand why people would be against giving users the ability to change sex on a character.

Forget the fee issue.

Is anyone against it just on general principle?
