well... with betrayal being so easy and even reversible (and with the advent of fae betrayals not far away) racial issues aren't really too significant.

Just occurred to me that if they added that all the Artisans would complain that they're the only ones who can't change just about everything about their characters

Changing race and gender in a fantasy RPG is just stupid, you can't just rewrite your character's history like that. There are no plastic surgeons, no pop culture hangups and insecurities in these universes. If you're feeling deficient, you even the odds with talent and ambition, or you fucking re-roll.

It further occurs to me that the mechanics might be odd for this. If you pay for a gender change, do you get to redo the physical part of character creation? If so, what back-end mechanics are involved to allow you to do so? And if not, are all gender- or race-changed toons going to run around with the default form?

Flagged, sure, I was wondering what kind of mechanical changes would be required to allow an existing toon to access the Character creation. But now that I think about it, they did that for Soga models, so maybe I'm off-base on the difficulty.
