Instead of a parallel universe (which is true in its own way), think of it more like if you worked at Victoria's Secret. Suppose your coworkers are all fat ugly morons, but being a single lesbian you'd rather work with ladies that are hot and intelligent. So you transfer to another Victoria's Secret. You're the same person, look the same, same SSN, same store appearance and inventory, everything's the same except the other people.

No, what I mean is that they already do it with the barbers. Go to one, pay 1g, and you get to alter your appearance at the character select after.

Really? Guess I've never used the barber. In EQ1 you did it in game with the /face command.

I dont like it, sure sex changes at 1st but soon it will be class changes, then wholesale item buying, it's a slipperslope we're walking down when you start offering ingame changes for out of game money. Where do you draw the line?

I don't see anything wrong with this whole concept. If you don't wish to change your characters gender, then don't. But to have the option would be nice. Now as far as paying for it, it should be set up like the achievement system where it cost more and more each time you did it. I can't tell you how many times it seams I have changed my physical features on my toons, so what does the gender matter?

Right after something like that gets implemented, we'll get an influx of creeps demanding fursuits, CBT, and other scary fetishes get added.
