Males that makes and play female characters, are a little off in the head anyway. They are weird.

If I can not change my race, then no changing of sex. If you don't like the fact that your character is a female and you are playing them full time, then just don't make female characters to start with.

SOE didn't force you to click on the female button, why should they waste their time putting in something like this? There are MUCH more severe game play problems for them to deal with.

Besides, knowing SOE's coding abilities, you switch to another sex at say level 70, and you would end up a level 1 rat or something.

I was thinking about this and what if there was a 1 time amnesty for those people who made a female toon for whatever reason and wanted to be male like their RL persona? Works the other way around though. Wouldn't it make sense to give people a 1 time chance to change their gender, similar to a ability respec. I mean honestly has anyone done a respec and wondered "Wow my char can defrag its brain remove knowledge that was there and abilities and once done I can get a whole new set of abilities I neither had to learn or find." Its the same thing. I don't agree with making it a payable thing or allowing players the ability to pay plat or real money to change their gender at will. I do however think that a free "gender respec" wouldn't be off base by too much. It allows those people who made a cross gender toon to change its gender 1 time and 1 time only.

Instead of a barber they could set up a surgeon in NQ and WFP where you can purchase an operation for 1g.

Regardless of price, I think that a gender respec would be fairly easy to implement. Unlike racial respecs which would require respec of all your recial abilities and possibly your spell book, class, and home town, a gender respec shouldn't be any more complicated than making yourself shorter, or changing your hair color.

The most complicated aspect of it would be the renaming process associated with it; but even that isnt HARD. How many people have logged in with new first names without their prior knowledge? It has to be fairly simple.

Someone could write up a gender respec service on their lunch break. On beta the one NPU guy had his char changed to a froglok at the snap of a finger.

But the answer is still NO.

I don't think racial respecs should be allowed, and I see those as a totally different thing from a gender respec.

I believe that a gender respec service is reasonable, and SoE should provide it as a fee, just as they do with character transfers.

and i think the complete opposite. with the new racial abilities coming out soon, i think they should offer an option to change ur race once within that first week for free. but then no changes anymore after that.

and as far as the gender change, screw that. if u made ur toon the opposite sex then im sure there was a reason for it, and now ur stuck without being able to hide, so deal with it if u dont like it anymore. until they change it so gender does affect things (like have female toons get their period and start nuking random shit a week out of every month and leave a blood trail wherever they go), then u shouldnt be able to change it. and when that happens, just like what i said above about the racial changes, u get one week to change it and then ur stuck again.

I support gender respecs on one condition: your new character model has to look like it had a sex change, and isn't convincing at all (use Klinger from M*A*S*H as a reference).
