Don't worry I'm sure CK will have VP all fixed in time for SoN's next scheduled vp run

we just have to have some patience folks...

I know I'm being an ass here but why can't they test things thuroughly like making more use of test server or reading the feedback from players regarding these problems before patching GUs to the live servers which break things?

Because they'd have to hire more people and that'd cost money, money they aren't willing to give up in upper management.

Point is, the guys everyone rips on about being a noob or whatever -- they are the demographic that SOE is really after; the casual player that maybe logs one 1-2 hours a day and feels like he/she has accomplished something. That is the way ALL these games are going to play from now on, especially when you have a case study out there like WoW. Unless you are Bill gates and have $64 billion to dump into a game you can build yourself privately.

So I would say pray like hell SOE keeps attracting the casual players so they make a little more scratch. Then maybe you will have a shot at SOE fixing some of the raid content. Else, get ready for the next big disappointment - WAR.

Newsflash. Without raiders, many casuals would have stopped playing long ago. It's the allure of something more powerful, better out there that keeps people in the game. Or do you think ppl would decorate their house and run heroic instances for 1 year till the next expansion comes out if that's all there is to the game?

Even if there IS content that most people will never see... it doesn't mean that it's wasted, or even inefficiently designed content. Imagine there was a mob so tough that no-one could beat him for a year - only doable with the best skills and the best gear. Do you think that would be bad?

Nope. It would be awesome. Because it keeps people trying and trying to improve & achieve. If you solve all the riddles, see all the scenarios, beat all the bosses, what is there left to do? Repeat the same shitty crap over and over for some rare drops? Fuck that.

Nah they'd just have to have a policy not to release GUs until critical bugs are eliminated, rather than sticking with some internal schedule. The GU wasn't even announced until after it was installed. The chaos at SoE must be palpable.

Yes, because their QA department is obviously large enough to handle everything in EQ2. Wait a second, it's not.

I think its bad decision making somewhere on the ladder... bad management perhaps.

Your right Pinski... more money might make for a bigger QA department (if such a think exists at this point)... if the management would even allocate any funds that way.
