Well.. I tank fine.. I don't know about other shadowknights.
Raid setup is normally only with a guardian, paladin, and shadowknight and we have the ability to clear freethinkers, clockwork menace, mistmoore castle: IS *excluding mayong*, Emerald Halls.
Sometimes it's only me and the guardian. I don't know about other servers but crusaders are used in raids to normally offtank higher tier raid zones or contested and we do just fine.
I agree that a good level of dps and tankage is an awesome combination. I have no regrets so far into spec'ing halfway for dps. What I was trying to say in my post was to say that shadowknights should try to manipulate both sides of the fence (tanking and dpsing). Most shadowknights are spec'd out for dps and only have 3.9k mitigation self buffed which is atrocious.
The basic point is at how well you manipulate your character and in raid guilds sometimes I think a spec'd Shadowknight for tanking would be more worth it thank a spec'd Shadowknight for dps (since there is not a lack of dps in a raid guild considering there's a close batch of people and the classes are selected for a raid for optimal raid dps.
Maybe I'm afraid of being a Shadowknight gimpified? I just don't like being one shotted on raids because I spec'd out full dps at the price of sacrificing mitigation and some health (in some situations).
Just my thoughts,
Feel free to disagree/agree however necessary..I'm very opinionated
