Well if the powerful things are hidden maybe these mythicals are crap and we really havn't found the true power. Maybe mythicals suck and the next weapon will have a neon flashing tier tag that reads "M-M-M-M-ONSTER LOOOT"

Yup, that was a good thread. I think it's an unavoidable dilemma in any persistent fantasy universe.

All we can hope for is creative and exciting lore to keep drawing us back in. So far it's been a mixed bag. I know the assassin epic storyline never interested or engaged me much.

And a puny raid trash mob from the next tier can kill the uber mofo boss of the current expansion that is supposed to be nearly unbeatable. Suspension of Disbelief is what developing MMOs require, sadly.

They should of had the previous weapons as prereqs. Ie Pris > God King > SoD > Epic > Epic upgrade.

though in eq1 the epic weapons were good for a couple of expansions. i believe we started seeing them replaced in POP which was like 4? expansions after they were released. far better itemization! here everything gets recycled on a 9 month/new expansion pack cycle
