Dirge is almost a necessity for when you need a rezz and the healer is either busy or dead. Not to mention the utility they bring -- also Illusionist.
Something like, Guardian, Illusionist, Mystic, Dirge, Assassin, Wizard would be my vote.
Nevermind, I just saw the 5 caster requirement. That sucks, just go get a decent "automation" program, imo.

Re: 6 boxing.. best group?
you should still bring along a bard even if it's just for the buffs.

Re: 6 boxing.. best group?
You don't need that many boxes to run instances. Should be able to be fine playing 3 or 4 boxes well, instead of being spread apart over 6. And, it sucks running Runnyeye or Veksar manually, and MC is actually even more difficult boxing.
If you want my personal recommendations, it would be
Pally, unless you have Trak shield on warrior
Templar
Mystic
Coercer or Illy
Dirge or Troub
Wizard
However you could do many different iterations successfully. I find furies annoying to box personally (power issues, so-so buffs). You need a bard for hate control, either boosting your tank or deaggroing the rest. Chanter is necessary for certain fights - last mob in voes, if you want to box MC, and one makes Veksar immensely easier. A coercer is a better instance enchanter for boxing purposes because charm is actually very useful for more long-term crowd control in certain cases, and has hate controls.

Assassin
Assassin
Assassin
Assassin
Assassin
Assassin
You might want to also keep an extra Assassin to swap in with the above from time to time.
Spec them all for smokebomb.

[insert any tank here], Dirge, Troub, Templar, Illy, Assassin. Put them all AF on the tank, hit it ~ on all of them and heal.
Using multiple mages to dps, or using multiple healers just doesn't work well imho. Going melee is going to be the most effecient in the long run.

This is what I am experimenting with at the moment, though I'm still finishing up T4 on the templar and mystic. It's exhausting at times but in the long run it will solve my LFG problem once and for all.
I used the Wizard/Illy/Troub/Pally because obviously that's what I already had in the bag at T7. But if I were to start completely over I'd likely go with assassin/coercer/dirge/guardian. Melee is a ton easier to work with.
