Just shitty numbers in eq2 overall causing this or a general consensus that eq2 raiding sucks?

My problem is that I started with a group of friends and we're all together. No one is looking for the group that we have, as far as recruiting goes and none of us is going to move without everyone else. We're too good of friends to just break up our group. It's either take all of us or none of us.
1 Zerker (with a 57 Coercer alt)
1 Warden (with a 56 Necro alt)
1 Ranger (with a 70 Fury and a 70 Conj alt)
1 Ranger (with a 70 wizzy alt)
1 Wizzy (with a 58 bruiser)
1 Inquisitor (with a lowbie monk - 28 I think)
1 Troubador (with a 45 monk)
1 Necro
All mains are 70.
We're all good friends. We've been together for a long time and we have no intentions of breaking up our little group, which is why we haven't really applied anywhere else because of that fact. It's not as simple as "the numbers aren't out there." Some of us feel that friendship outweighs the higher end guilds and doesn't want that to change.
