got 6 masters in 3boxing KC today...

all of which were smartloot needed

3 inq
1 guard
2 dirge - 2 of the 4 spells i had left on my list to be fully mastered

also noticed something interesting in adept1's that dropped

my guard has master1 plant and when i level'd him up i skipped over immobilize at the time, and i have yet to get ad3 for this...

i looted 9 copies of immobilize adept 1 today... over half the adept 1's i got

Were the two you didn't need drops from SoH?

Cause we have had the same thing happen where all masters dropped have been needed by someone in the raid except for in SoH.

SoH is smart loot but has only dropped level 80 masters, so the raid doesn't need to be fully mastered just have all their level 80 ones to get repeats in SoH.

I'd say around 90% of all masters I've seen drop in the past few weeks have been needed by someone in my groups and raids. That's really to much of a coincidence not to be smart loot.

I was under the impression that the smart loot system just took into consideration classes that were in the group, not anything complex enough as to go through the spellbook to see what version of the spells you have and check to see if the master is needed or not.

It checks your knowledge book to see what spells you have, thats why they changed re2 from 100% smart loot to 30%, which is why I'm pretty sure it is unintentional that it was turned on. For the first time since the last lu last night a master dropped that wasn't needed by someone in the group so maybe they hotfixed it in yesterday's patch, but it was re2 so maybe like soh it wasn't affected by whatever happened since it already had special rules set to it.

Yep, I can't tell you how many people I know have filled up their master lists lately. Of course, RNG hates me, and I still don't get any of the masters I need haha! But I figure, eventually, the people I normally group with will run out of needed masters, THEN its my turn... right as they realize this is happening and fix it. ~lesigh

Did see an unneeded level 80 master in re2 last night. May just be that it just looked at level 80 spells and we all had those.

Well one of the devs stated that they changed the smartloot table to only be on a 30% or 40% chance forgot what number.
