Do you have any actual evidence of the numbers being "way down"? If not let's not speculate. I even agree with you but theres no point in saying it if you don't have evidence to back it up. But this begs the question: What are the numbers? Anyone know? Any way of knowing?

Actually i can tell you 100% that population is actually up every month since before EOF so im not sure where you are getting your information from

The numbers of toons pre EoF was almost 3 million, now it is 2.2 million... eq2census ftw

The site says the last census taken was November 8th. So if this is true it's old information and pre-EoF. Also it does not take into account alts, multiple accounts for one person and inactive players including those who are still paying for an account but are no longer playing the game. Granted it's a good general take on the state of EQ2 if you have it month by month or something like that, but it still doesn't represent the real player population.

Umm this is all toons alts etc etc... and i think the census before this one was right after kos launch..

yeah that was exactly my point. It even includes alts and all that etc etc. If that info is included it changes the data cause then you have 1 account and 6 toons. Say the census says 120 people are playing. Well you could have 120 accounts.....or you could have 20 actual accounts. And as I said before on the main page of the census it says when it was last updated. Which was November 8th 2006. So you can't tell if it has EoF in it or not.

*edit - forgot even more toons with station but Im to lazy to put that it. think it's 10 so 12 accounts in an extreme case.

The eq2players.com website format was changed. The author of eq2census needs to rewrite his parse engine.

If Befallen gets merged with another server I'd have to hunt someone down.
