there will be temporary forums available in the interrim...what you post there will more than likely disapear, so don't get attached to posts on the temp forums

Yep, today is the day they take down the existing forums and start putting up the new forums. Reports are we'll lose some of the features we're used to, but the Community team (read: Grimwell) will have more control over the new forums and they won't have to wait for a 3rd party vendor to fix stuff.

This is why LFG hooked me up with http://www.soefan.com - This was an attempt by lots of people to archive a lot of the game guides that were only published on the Official Forums. I always wanted a place for folks who don't work for Fan Sites to store their guides anyway

I'm excited about new forums but I'm not excited for all the info that will be deleted so class forums can be filled with even more stupid fucking questions like.... why should i play your class? or whats better an assassin or a brigand and which race should i play?

Like existing thread on "what should I play" ever kept people from starting new ones, lol.

My favorite was the weekly "Can I reset my TS Class" thread.

By the way, it's my understanding that you can put the www.soefan.com link in your sig on the SoE forums now - again PLEASE do not do eq2flames - just www.soefan.com - click the link and you'll see what I mean.

But we gotta be cool about this or we'll lose the privilege. So PLEASE be cool about it.

BTW, the www.soefan.com site has some KILLER tutorials and guides and such now - check it out for yourself, and see if you have anything to add. That site is 100% modded, it is informational only, no posts, just content, and it has to be locked down like that to respect the content people have provided.
