Let me get this straight, we pay a company to manage a complex enviornment and game mechanics, when they can't even keep a forums site stable. I try so hard to hang in there with SoE and give them the benefit of the doubt, but the side of me that isnt completely retarded is starting to wonder why. Just a gripe I have to publicize or it will eat its way out of my stomach like some creepy sci-fi acid. *punches self in head 3 more times and feels complacent* learn PHP SoE... it might give you some insight on how to fix your game...

Whats unstable about the EQII forum site? They closed the forums since they were changing them over to a new system, and didn't want any posts lost so closing the forums were the only way to guarentee it...

They are upgrading the SoE forums, and had to take them down for a few days.

Think of it like going to a hotel for a few days while your kitchen is remodeled.

It has nothing to do with stability, it's a planned improvement.

I welcome the new people here, however.

I'm baffled that NO ONE ever reads the announcements.

New forum software is going in. They are currently transferring information from the old forum set up, to the new forum setup. Thats kinda hard to do if people continue to use the forums as they were, so they put up a temp forum while the transfer is made that will NOT be transferred.

Believe it or not..this has all been planned for months. Or I suppose you'd know that if you ever read announcements, since, ya know, several were made.

Yeah it wasn't hard to read the forum announcements that the forums would be down for a few days for upgrades. But I expected as much coming from someone in Strike.

Dude, it's not like they completely shut the fucking thing down. They gave us a temp forum at the top of the list for us to use. Relax.

hell it took me 6 days to get my forums set up right (still not, not really) and only 4 people really use them for anything more than playing sudoku
