Re: NEVER ask for reset of lockout timer
Thats what we asked for, but... I dont even care much about loot, I just want SoE to make some things more enjoyable rather than annoying.

I don't think it's fair that this guild had to suffer because of SoE's incompetance concerning this zone. This isn't the first guild that has had problems with this place.

Re: NEVER ask for reset of lockout timer
Atleast the GM didn't reset the timer, not delete the loot and fuck up so that they never get a lockout on it. I wouldn't put it past some of the more retarded GMs

Re: NEVER ask for reset of lockout timer
I could see the loot being deleted. But I think the GM should have told you the loot would be deleted ahead of time.

Also where does it say sending in multiple petitions is a bannable offense?

How the (censored) can you be sure I stated you did. I was speaking on behalf of what could happen. I am just saying... for future reference, don't do it.

Re: NEVER ask for reset of lockout timer
Ignore the flamers, i agree the GM should have said something about your loot, thanks for letting the community know that this is the policy when a guild is booted from EH. I will say there does need to be an even playing field when GMs decide to do this, and that it isnt just done for one or two guilds here and there. Since you had your timer reset, every and any guild that gets booted from EH should have theirs reset as well. Once again the bottomline is EH takes about 3 days for a guild that is learning the zone, can be done in 6-7 hours for veterans, longest zone weve seen so far, higher likelihood of getting booted due to crashes , server updates etc.

Re: NEVER ask for reset of lockout timer
i like the zone and the fact that they put a really long and hard zone in but if they can't keep their servers up so people can clear them then they need to come up with some mechanic to save the instance. something so that even if the server crashes or gets reset you can still zone back in to the zone right where you left off.

Re: NEVER ask for reset of lockout timer
A small update, a senior GM actually returned the loot that was taken away, on a promise that we would stay out of the zone for the stipulated lockout time. Rest assured we wont return until next friday violating that agreement. For the next time this happens to us we know the policy of SOE and know the consequenses of asking for a reset of timers. Our prime objective when petitioning was to be returned to where we were, but the only thing the Gm could do was reset the lockout.
The GM we had wasnt exact in telling us what the policy was, and thus we got a chance to re-roll the lockout. From what the GM said we actually thought we had to decline the loot dropping from monsters we already killed in the second run of the zone. Next time we wont get that chance, and to be honest I doubt other guilds will be informed as vaguely as we were informed in the future...
So be warned, if you reset lockouts, loot will be taken away.

Re: NEVER ask for reset of lockout timer
In this case, if you cleared to t1 and were moving upstairs, the GM should just open the zone up fresh and "simon says die" on any named on the first floor (they have that power). Leave the trash up, that's not that big of a deal, you can just cut your way up to the next valley instead of clearing most of the first tier, and nobody loses loot or has to rekill named

Re: NEVER ask for reset of lockout timer
Yeah, it is fully in there power to kill it all and stick you right where you were when it crashed, but they don't care enough. I know I wouldn't....working as a L1 tech support call center job, I don't *really* care if your DSL works...when I go home at the end of the day, I'm not the one with the fucked up connection.
