Our necro uses it every other fight basically and rarely dies. If you have a competent healer it's no sweat. Lifeburn is an amazing skill no matter how much anyone tries to play it down. Even if he does die he'll still parse well enough for a dead guy.

If you never get heals on lifeburn then you might WTB new group. And you should always kinda know when an AOE is incoming.

Also if you know how to target a mob you can tell right away if you have aggro, you should be at least close to max range so insta-cast FD should work most of the time. Everynow and then the mob will own you before you can react.

I speak from what I can see, a good necro makes lifeburn incredible.

Lifeburn is powerful as hell, but it rewards shitty necros for getting agro.

I agree.

Every powerful spell in the game should have at least some drawbacks if you're just not good at using it. If not, then anyone could be a top DPS class as it would be trivial to do retarded amounts of damage. While I would say lifeburn is overpowered to a degree, it's definately not something a moron necromancer can maximize. Timing and coordination make this spell massive, rather than just "very good."

You should have to do a simulated raid before the spell is added, and if you draw an inordinately large amount of agro without lifeburn, the ability should be replaced with a flag on your account that doesn't let you join raids.

For those of you surprised by the fact Swashies are beating Illusionist

Cause some of the so called Tier 1 DPS are now getting beat by some Swashies and they are a bit bitter. Especially on AE encounters.

But if they bring that up, the one or two that are not tell them to shut the hell up and learn to play your class.

But I guess there is no problem, cause the “average group numbers for damage server wide” are fine—and well know that is the end all tell all right…

Hammarus, maybe you should go back and review my post and rethink your reply. What I said was that Furies can't break 2k DPS......Hell, at most raids I can't break 1k DPS. I normally parse about 650 DPS on encounters at raids, and that is if I am not healing at all and just burning the mob. So your little whine about barely breaking 600 DPS is pretty lame.

Also, before you make remarks about me not knowing how to play my class, bear in mind that I have played him since release and am in a T7 raiding Guild. I know my class, but I also know its limits. Clearly you don't.
