As far as the TS vacancy, I hope they do what they did with the Community Manager position, and wait until they find the right person, rather than just filling the slot. The TS position just can't handle another clockpuncher.

Nobody will ever live up to Frizznik in that position, IMO, but at this point, I think EQ2's best bet would be to hire someone with high enthusiasm, ambition, and even some community relation skills. The crafting community just goes NUTS when the TS dev doesn't post, and seems to be 2 McNuggets short of a Happy Meal.

It would own if they hired Niami for that position lol, but that's prolly dreaming.

It seemed like when Beghn started working on TS issues that he was restrained in what he could do. I thought he was trying hard to work with the community early on, but he seemed limited in what he was allowed to do. Maybe I had the wrong impression, but I had better dialogue with him then others I have spoken to.

While I certainly remember Beghn being more active in the community early on, I also remember that he was constantly sticking his foot in it, making it more than obvious that he never bothered to find out how things worked before trying to make suggestions, or worse, actual changes. I for one am glad to see him go, especially if they bother to get someone who enthusiastically digs in... and uses his/her brain about it!
