First off, players who do an epic questline are probably somewhat reasonable playtime type players. THE LEVEL CAP HAS BEEN 70 FOR A FUCKING YEAR. I did this quest on some alts of mine tonight. Now that I know where shit is it took me less than 2 hours to finish. That is not worth waiting 3 months for. This is pathetic. Not to mention how boring and horrible the quests are. Kill a set of like 15 spawns for an uncommon update you need 3 of. Now do it 7 more times. Or how about run around harvesting shit all day. Then go kill a level 18 semi contested mob!

Fucking terrible design. Do yourself and your customers a favor SOE and just skip to the last chapter. The imersion and fun faction of working through the quests has long since been lost on this one, better luck next time. Oh and by the way, how about making the reward something actually useful to every class that has gone through this shit? Maybe something like raising the aacap to 110 so players who finish it can grind out 10 more aa's and assign them to wichever tree they like? That would be infiinitly mroe fun and useful than any items Im guessing.

Well it's a good thing I quit then, I don't need to do another 300 step quest for a piece of shit weapon that's hardly better than shit that drops off of one of the easiest encounters in t7. And going by the current trend of prismatics (how fucking annoying the quests are != how shitty the item is) this will be the worst weapon yet.

I've done the DE's first quest and have been him in G Fay and logging on every few hours to check. He keeps saying "I have nothing for you today." Based on that, I seriously doubt the rumor someone started that this is the way for Freeport characters to get the Koada'Dal language is correct. What is apparently true is that Freeport characters who didn't complete the Peacock series, up to the third to the final quest in the series, are just plain screwed out of doing the Pris 4 quest.

My characters are camped until this situation is resolved.

Developing end game content is not easy, I couldn't imagine putting up with the likes of some of this game's most hardcore. Pushing content daily until it's done... Pushing their friends and guildmates to do the same...

So the answer is to give them something completely pointless to do?

I got this quest done, and I gave the reward to a friend leveling up a toon. It's a great thing she could use it, and the item was tradeable... cause it would've gotten transmuted.

Oh, and if this is going to be another *lets camp around for another 2 hours for some level 18 mob / lets kill a bunch of grey shit in the water 8 different times for 3 seperate updates*... I think I'll just go farm Unrest... shit in there is probably better anyway.

/sigh... Why does this game have to have so much potential only to completely fuck itself over, time after time after time after time....

I've basically decided that it's not worth the few hours/day I get outside of raids to play to do this damn quest until they actually get the whole thing in. Thus, it doesn't affect me. (Thank god; I did the first quest and wanted to hang myself because it was so simple)

The only problem Valanthe, is that there's like 10 grey mobs up at any one time, and you need to get updates off of kills (no they're not automatic as of a few days ago) 3x8 = 24 Updates...

PLUS you need to go "investigate" things... it takes about 16 seconds and you fail a lot... so people can easily steal your nodes.

All in all, sooner you're done with the first step of retardedry, sooner you can get on to the real dumb shit.

True, but at the same time, normally I have maybe 2-3 hours when I'm not raiding to play, if that between work (12 hr/day), sleep (about 6 hours if I'm lucky and get home and to sleep right away) and raiding (3-5 hrs a day depending on zone). I'm not gonna waste my time at this point doing a worthless quest that has absolutely no reward to me at this point that I can actually use.

From a personal perspective, it's more viable for me to take that 2-3 hours when I get it and run, say, Unrest or Nizara and attempt to get upgrades out of there than to do Sword of Destiny at the moment. I'm on a server with no real low play time as well. If I were still on Oasis, I could do it during late night and there wouldn't be anyone to fight. Najena's very populated 24/7. Once the hype dies down and more people have done it, I'll go back and do it myself. That's how I see it. I never did Claymore until I actually got into a guild that had the possibility of killing T-Nax because most of the line was rather bad for casters, at least IMO. I'm in a guild with plenty of potential at the moment, but the quest line is unfinished and really not worth doing, even if I can solo it, because the rewards are so lacking.

If they required Qeynos characters to do the full Peacock quest series up to the underwater giant just to be able to progress in the EoF quest, rather than only Freeport players, the complaints would exceed anything previously heard in EQ2. As the affected minority, the only players who care about this issue are the Freeport players.

Someone please send me a tell in Vanguard if this issue is ever resolved.

I agree with you that it's ridiculous that FP has to do Peacock and Qeynos doesn't. (Granted, I did Peacock on my Illusionist, but that's besides the point.)

I honestly hope SOE fixes that shit and quickly puts in the rest of the line. SOON.

ye one point i would like to add also is to do the peacock questline you obviously need the PoF expantion and i always thought they made the new epic questlines only be dependent on having the most up to date expantion and the original game (so in this case EoF). pretty sure this is true, so basically ur gonna get people buying PoF to do a grey questline to progress this quest lol....

ye and the only reason there has not been a stupid amount of complaints is not only that its only evil side having the problem but most hardcore players would of done peacock back in the day. ahwell last point wtf 2 quests? lol surely that would of only taken 1 dev like a day tops to put into the game, gotta say i was expecting about 10 quests taking atleast a week to do. maybe i speek to soon and there is more quests but as time ticks by looking less likely, unless they did put a horrible timestamp on something, (imo more likely to be a ninja update to add something)

The DoF thing is a moot point, considering that if you didn't have it you probably went and bought the EoF box retail and got it.
