If you think that the EQ2 music is crappy, try Vanguards. There is a zone where this chick sounds like she is singing opera or getting her toenails pulled out. I refuse to go in to that zone with my sound on, makes my skin crawl.

Other than that though:

Mistmoore Inner Sanctum - Bauhaus: Bella Lugosi Is Dead.

Of course I try to change Bella Lugosi is dead to Mayong Mistmoore Is Dead.

White on white translucent black capes
Back on the rack
Mayong Mistmoore is dead
The bats have left the bell tower
The victims have been bled
Red velvet lines the black box
Mayong Mistmoore is dead
Undead undead undead
The virginal brides file past his tomb (vormulac)
Strewn with time's dead flowers
Bereft in deathly bloom
Alone in a darkened room
The count
Mayong Mistmoore is dead
Undead undead undead

Priceless. They should put it on a hallmark card.

Btw, "Structural Defect" and "Machine" by Static-X are perfect songs when doing Clockwork Menace Factory

EQ2's music is top quality, but doesn't get top application. How many times have you heard at the beginning of a zone what could have been the best background themes ever, then taken 10 steps forward and were plunged into silence? That to me, frankly, is bullshit.

Another question: why do named mobs have the same fight music as trash mobs? Hasn't anyone played a console RPG before?

Because, the game doesn't disinguish them as such. Maybe different fight music for epic encounters but still isn't *that* important.

Maybe if everyone keeps saying nice things about her, she'll be brave enough to post!

We are in the process of revamping the combat music to better fit different fights encountered in the world.
