Ummm because the 1st server merge was a horrible flop and the downfall of many servers in general.

Since the merge between Oasis and Steamfont I have not been able to play the game in anything higher than extreme performance without the game going into slowmotion.

I run a 2.8Ghz P4, windows xp pro, 2.0G ram, Nvidia BFG 6800 ultra 256mb GFX card and 450w UPS.... lightyears above the "recomended specs" and I can't get out of extreme performance "which in my opinion looks worse than EQ1 did".

If they merge servers again I'll mostlikely transfer to station exchange, sell my account and quit the game permanently.

what they need is to make an easily found exploit to make female character appear nude and spruce up some of the old emote animations... youtube would burst at the seams with naked EQ2 chicks dancing... free publicity. queue public interest.

since you borrow ideas from other games anyway, why not take another?

maybe SOME advertising... i've never seen any for EQ2... i guess they just expected everyone who was in EQ1 to pick it up and play forever. as a newb to the genre and the name, i didn't even know what everquest was when i picked it up. a friend had it and told me to give it a try.
