Does anyone else
Does anyone else seriously just get pissed the hell off when in some of the EoF zones and having to clear trash for hours upon hours because each trash mob has roughly 10 billion hps...omg I wanted to rip my eyes out tonight clearing inner sanctum.
Why cant SOE do something more original than just giving all the mobs in EOF a freakish amount of hp. Its boring and a waste of time to say the least. For what....nothing.
Not to mention we get rewarded with fabled pieces we cant use.
I guess the only real reason Im even posting this here is to ask if anyone knows anything yet about SOE making changes to the no-trade policy of items that are dropping plus if maybe any possible changes are coming to the pos trash mobs that are time sinks.

the high HP mobs in IS suck. they are also there for a reason and there are only like 5 of them. the zone has to do with killing them fast enough while other stuff respawns etc, etc... it's not that bad. 5 high HP mobs for a reason is better than whole dungeon of trash for no reason.
no-trade sucks. my guild has had the worst luck, something like 80% of class-specific set pieces have been sold or given to alts while our mains continue wearing KoS crap. bummer. If the sets were actually good, i'd be more upset about this though.
That being said, SOE is supposedly working on a system to make mobs drop items based on who is actually present. I'm sure it will be a complete fuckup, but at least they are thinking about it, which means they are aware of the problem.

As a non-raider, I will oppose changing no-trade items. In fact, I actually want more no-trade in the game. If I can't get up off my ass, get in the zone and kill that mob myself, I don't deserve the item.

Why can't more non-raiders have that attitude?

Yeah, I don't mind no-trade at all. I am; however, very interested in the making the drops pertain to who is in raid. That would be hot. Is there more in-depth info on that?

yeah, and same thing for crafted items, unless you can get up off your ass and craft it yourself, you don't deserve it and master spells, unless you spend the time camping 1 out of 1000 chance drop of your particular master, you shouldn't have it.
as a matter of fact the whole idea of barter and economics is flawed in the place.
seriously... people do what they do, if you have no friends to raid and i have no time to farm cash, why is the exchange of services/goods a bad idea?
no-trade to the extent that it is implemented in EQ2 is just horrid. Sure, the occassional quest reward that you get for completing a series of LORE-related tasks might be no-trade. But 90% of raid-dropped equipment is complete bullshit.
In regards to "drop for people in raid": this WAS mentioned by a developer as a possible solution. you can probably find it on DEV tracker from the past month or two. It was in no way stated as a conrete "coming soon" sort of thing. I'll see if i can find it.

I'm not sure why you've taken umbrage at my stance but I simply don't believe I should have access to the same gear a dedicated raiding guild has. I participate in a few pick up raids in labs if they are killing names and a few alliance events but I am not joining a larger guild so I don't deserve the loot.
Crafting? The purpose of crafting is to make and sell items so that is far off base. The Master spell analogy is vaild and one I've considered. Maybe they should only drop off epic mobs AND be no-trade. Perhaps they should just be no-trade and still drop off random things. Either way, I would not mind the change. Adept I's and III's are still available to the player base.

No-trade keeps the "value" of fabled high. If all fabled was tradable, the value of a fabled item would drop considerably. Kind of like how the value of a master spell on/after crazy master day in DoF completely plummeted the value. The more of something in the world creates a lower value for that type of item. This is why No-trade is a good thing.
Honestly, on molds, they shouldn't drop like KoS Relic molds, it should be like Bard Forearms, or Crusader Forearms, etc. Molds like that would be superior to the way we have it now.

Re: Does anyone else
Not to go off on a "no trade" tangent but I've always wondered why they haven't required you attune house items before placing them. Seems odd to me.
