When you do a /who inside Runnyeye and see level 70's on the list, what exactly do you think is going on?

Re: Self-mentoring, please!
God that would be so kick ass to self mentor.
it could potentionally be a fix to the shitty progression of EQ2.
If they were to bring back flagging, or even Keys and put level caps on the old raid zones.
an example, you have to get keys from zone X, Y, and Z in classic eq2 to raid zones A, B, and C in DoF. But one up it, with the self mentoring added in the level cap on raid X is 50. so you can not go on that raid if you are over level 50.
I know my idea is probably far fetched at this point but god could you immagine how much better that game would be with solid progression?!?!
"we killed Mayong Mistmore" may actually mean something again!

Re: Self-mentoring, please!
This is a very bad idea.
It is also not like what you are able to do in the game now, not by a long shot.
Currently in the game, I can't go into RoV, make myself lv 39, to kill a lv 30 named (lowest green), then make myself 40 and kill a 31 named. After that, I can't head to Runnyeye, make myself 50, and kill a lv 40 named, followed by heading to CT and making myself 59 to kill a lv 49 named.
Unless you have an alt character that covers every level that is required to make every named in every instance a low green, you cannot do this. And, by the chance that you did have 50-60 alts that could do this, it would still take a lot more time and energy.
So, why again are you comparing this freedom to the way it is in the game now? It's not the same at all, and you know it.

It still takes more effort to do that.

Re: Self-mentoring, please!
perhaps.
it would make it difficult for people trying to level to get stuff around their level, though. imagine walking into any lower-tier dungeon at level 70, you walk around, blow up every trash mob in a room, then "delevel" so the named is green, take it out, and walk out with a pretty prize... the people that SHOULD be there don't get crap because you can farm every named in the zone so much faster... the only answer is for them to solo crap until they level and can kill grays and gank named as efficiently as you.
...maybe you already responded to this in the thread, but i see that as being the biggest problem.

Worst. Idea. Ever.

Wich brings up, what is the point of the TLC? To remove content that is available to players?
If I want to waste my time after leveling to 70 killing named mob's in ruins of varsoons why shouldnt I be able to? Is it because I would interfere with the lower levels there who may want those named? Ok, they can either beat me to them, wait till I leave, do it to a lower level zone themselves, level up and do it, or buy the loot off of me. I played through the game, I think i deserve to be able to kill lower level shit without being penalized.
IMO all a TLC ever did is remove content from players and make the game seem smaller and less fun. EQ1 didnt have it on normal servers and it was a lot more enjoyable.
