Words like the N word are generally considered "fighting words" as a legal term of art.

While such words are not illegal, some courts will allow evidence that such a word was used as a complete legal defense to hitting someone in the face - the same as a self-defense claim.

It's always been my belief that if your goal is to incite a riot or instigate a fight, other words can do an equally effective job, without making the user look like low life trash.

I agree, using the same old worn out words demonstrate a complete lack of vocabulary and creativity.

Things like, "Son of a motherless goat" show creativity and offensiveness without any real social linkage.

You say lack of creativity? I think it was totally creative! Niggur'Guy was the last name btw, which was what everyone was calling Randy Marsh (Stan's father) during the episode.

BTW As for it being something which could 'start a fight' sure ... but i could start a fight calling someone Fat. Or i could start a fight calling someone a "retard" or saying that i hope they die of Cancer. All of those things would be fine. If it wasnt for the fact that im sure they'd prolly like look at my name right after, i'd change it to "Cracker" Or "Ofay" and i bet those would be fine.

Its a double standard ... but thats not even my problem ... my problem is i shouldnt have been suspended for a first offense, no warning, and its not even like i did half as bad of a thing as MANY other people.

Am i splitting hairs? yeah a bit, but so are most people here who are saying its like saying "Bomb" in an airport.

Are you really equating someone saying bomb, something that could kill dozens to thousands of people, to a word which upsets some people? I mean the two really have nothing to do with eachother, and the analogy really doesnt apply.

But in the end, all i'm saying is, the punishment doesnt fit the crime...(or Kryme), and the Fury doesnt have a last name and doesnt talk in 60-69 (by his own statement, cause someone brought it up here and i asked him). OH and by Kriks/Deludar's thoughts it must be that SOE Doesnt want a guild to succeed that has a black leader (which we do, in the form of Midnyte).

A guy in my guild has the last name "Hunglikegiant", it gets changed every few weeks, and he waits a bit and puts it back.

However if u use the n-word, or the f-word, and "intentionally" mispell it to go around the built it features to prevent abuse, you gonna get the hammer. The intentional misspelling is probably what got you the ban without a warning. If you get something in that they haven't coded to prevent, i bet you get a warning (then they close the hole).

Change the u to an i and i bet EQ2 would say illegal name and not let you have it.
